Breast Cancer Issues Conference

May 8, 2021

Hyatt Regency Portland at the Oregon Convention Center

The Breast Cancer Issues Conference provides survivors & fighters, support persons, high-risk individuals, and health care professionals the opportunity to learn about and discuss breast cancer topics with leading health professionals, researchers, and fellow survivors. Topics cover emerging research and treatment options, breast cancer risk reduction, and quality of life issues.

Keynote Speaker:

Melanie A. Nix
“Permission to Change”

Melanie is a determined combatant against devastation and destruction who provides actionable lessons for winning in the face of insurmountable odds. From caregiver to patient, from breastfeeding to breast cancer, cancer can change your life in an instant. Melanie has endured a life changing cancer instant in every decade of her life beginning at age eight with her mother’s breast cancer diagnosis, her mother’s recurrences and ultimate death, and Melanie’s own triple negative breast cancer diagnosis at 38.
