Breast Cancer Issues Conference
The Breast Cancer Issues Conference provides survivors & fighters, support persons, high-risk individuals, and health care professionals the opportunity to learn about and discuss breast cancer topics with leading health professionals, researchers, and fellow survivors. Topics cover emerging research and treatment options, breast cancer risk reduction, and quality of life issues.
“Comorbidity, Toxicity, and Breast Cancer Survival”
A discussion on how comorbidities increase risk during breast cancer treatment, and how non-adherence to medications impacts treatment outcomes.

FAQ & General Information
Registration will be available until March 13, 2019. Register online using the appropriate blue button above. If you have any problems registering online, please call Komen at 503.552.9160. To register at a location other than Portland, please contact the site coordinator after January 11 (contact information is posted above.)
Cancellations will be accepted, in writing, until March 14, 2019.
A limited number of general scholarships are available on a first come, first served basis. Scholarships will be prioritized for individuals who demonstrate financial need, and will only be given to individuals who have, or have had breast cancer. Contact the Komen office to request a scholarship- 503.552.9160.
Attendees with Metastatic Breast Cancer
Thanks to a grant from Pfizer, the first 50 registrants who are living with MBC will be able to attend at no cost. Please select the ticket type “living with stage IV/Metastatic breast cancer” on the general attendee registration page to register at no cost. Also thanks to the Pfizer grant, need-based financial assistance is available to individuals living with metastatic breast cancer, to cover the cost of transportation and/or lodging to attend Komen Oregon & SW Washington metastatic breast cancer events, including the Breast Cancer Issues Conference. Continuing Education Credits
Course rosters will be submitted to the appropriate entities for imaging technologists, nurses, and social workers. All attendees requiring CE credits will be given a certificate of completion. It is the participant’s responsibility to verify the requirements of his or her state/provincial licensing board(s) and to self-report and CE credits earned. Credit amounts will be posted, as certification is received from the governing entities, likely in January/February.
Nursing: To be decided
Imaging Technology: Up to 5 CEUs from American Society of Radiologic Technologists
Social Work: To be decided
PT/OT/Psychology/Counseling/Other: up to 4.5 course / credit hours
