Breast Cancer Issues Conference

The Breast Cancer Issues Conference provides survivors & fighters, support persons, high-risk individuals, and health care professionals the opportunity to learn about and discuss breast cancer topics with leading health professionals, researchers, and fellow survivors. Topics cover emerging research and treatment options, breast cancer risk reduction, and quality of life issues.

FAQ & General Information
Online registration will open mid-January 2020 for the April 4, 2020 conference.
Cancellations will be accepted, in writing, until March 31, 2020.
A limited number of general scholarships are available on a first come, first served basis. Scholarships will be prioritized for individuals who demonstrate financial need, and will only be given to individuals who have, or have had breast cancer. Contact the Komen office to request a scholarship- 503.552.9160.
Attendees with Metastatic Breast Cancer
Thanks to sponsor funding, the first 50 registrants who are living with MBC will be able to attend at no cost. Please select the ticket type “living with stage IV/Metastatic breast cancer” on the general attendee registration page to register at no cost. Also thanks to the Pfizer grant, need-based financial assistance is available to individuals living with metastatic breast cancer, to cover the cost of transportation and/or lodging to attend Komen Oregon & SW Washington metastatic breast cancer events, including the Breast Cancer Issues Conference. Continuing Education Credits
Course rosters will be submitted to the appropriate entities for imaging technologists, nurses, and social workers. All attendees requiring CE credits will be given a certificate of completion. It is the participant’s responsibility to verify the requirements of his or her state/provincial licensing board(s) and to self-report and CE credits earned.
- Nursing: TBD CEUs from the California Board of Registered Nursing
- Imaging Technology: TBD CEUs from American Society of Radiologic Technologists
- Social Work: TBD CEUs from National Association of Social Workers
- PT/OT/Psychology/Counseling/Other: up to 4.5 course / credit hours
