2017 Lunch for the Cure

Lunch for the Cure

Lunch for the Cure brings together business and community leaders who recognize the importance of investing in saving lives and ending breast cancer.  Thanks to the generosity of our donors, $370,000 was raised at the 2017 Lunch for the Cure!  It was an inspiring afternoon that showcased the impact Komen Oregon and SW Washington is having on our priorities.

This year, Lunch for the Cure focused on the progress and vision of the OHSU Knight Cancer Institute and developments within breast cancer research.  Dr. Brian Druker and a panel of some of the best and brightest researchers and doctors in the world shared their accomplishments and the findings of their research, including that funded by Komen.

Komen's priorities included funding services and programs that focus on early detection, survivor / forever fighter support, and advocacy.  Komen also underwrites breast cancer research at OHSU Knight Cancer Institute and Providence Cancer Center.
