Breast Cancer Issues Conference

The 2017 Breast Cancer Issues Conference provides survivors, support persons, high-risk individuals and health care professionals the opportunity to learn about and discuss breast cancer topics with leading oncologists, doctors, researchers and fellow survivors. Topics will cover emerging research and treatment options, breast cancer risk reduction and quality of life issues.

Registration Deadline
Online registration will close Monday, March 6th at 11:59 pm. Limited registration will be available on-site, beginning at 8 am the day of the conference.


A limited number of scholarships are available. To request a scholarship, please call the Komen office prior to the registration deadline, 503.546.7445.

Continuing Education Information
Course rosters will be submitted to the appropriate entities for imaging technologists, nurses and social workers. All attendees requiring CE credit will be given a certificate of completion. It is the participant's responsibility to verify the requirements of his or her state/provincial licensing board(s) and to self-report any CE credits earned.

Number of credits:
Nurses: 5.9
Imaging Technologists: 4.5 or 5 (all tracks in sessions 1 & 2 are 1.5 credits, except track 2C, which is 1 credit)
Social Workers: 4.75
PT/OT/Psychologists/Other: 4.75

Conference Attire
Temperature in the conference rooms tends to fluctuate as a large number of people will be in attendance. Please layer clothing, as at times the air conditioning is turned on.

Cancellation Policy
Cancellations will be accepted in writing until March 7th at 11:59 pm.

Session Handouts
Session handouts for most topics will be available here one week prior to the conference. They will not be printed for distribution on-site unless individual presenters decide to do so. If you wish to have session handouts available for reference, please be sure to print them out in advance.
